Profound Services and Start Energy create 40 new apprenticeships to start on the 31st July 2017.
Start Energy based in Peterlee has recently partnered with training provider Profound Services to introduce 40 new apprenticeship jobs to the local area.
Based in Peterlee Business Park, Start Energy is an energy consultancy who works with businesses to provide a unique procurement service, additional energy and customer care services to UK businesses in the public and private sector.
The business introduced apprenticeships into their business in 2014 when Megan Bradley began her career as a Business Administration Apprentice and went on to win an ‘Unsung Hero Award’ at The Energy Live Consultancy Awards (TELCA) in June this year, along with achieving a promotion over 3 years of hard work to the Head of Administration.
After securing new business including one of the largest contracts we have seen in the industry, where the client has nearly a one million customers base so it is very important the training begins as early as possible ready to deal with the contract as part of the terms agreed with our client.
Seeing the success of apprentices urged the business to set up a larger apprenticeship recruitment scheme with training provider Profound Services to help ease the process of their new contracts.
The business will see 40 new apprentices starting on the 31st July 2017 with a long development training package to help manage our obligations of the contract – perfect for those with a desire to succeed.
Gary Robson, Director at Start Energy, commented: “Start Energy’s long-term plan with this customer shows the faith they have in our services and plans put together over nearly a 2-year period in the background while continuing with our other services.
This is a very exciting time for Start Energy and we welcome anyone wanting to join us, especially from our local area to help them achieve their career goals.”
Steven Ward, Chairman of the Profound Group commented: “We’re thrilled to be working with Start Energy to introduce so many new apprenticeships into the area, whilst also backing the government’s initiative to create 3 million apprenticeships by 2020.
It’s the perfect time of year to offer opportunities like this to those who have just left school and are hungry to get into work.”
